Hey there! My name is Nikki and I'd really love to go home with you. I'm declawed in front so must be an indoor cat. I'm a little timid but love attention.
There are quite a few places in the area that allow dogs to visit, walk, romp & play. We are fortunate to have dog parks both in Roseburg & Sutherlin. It took a lot of work to get these facilities approved in the communities & they will be allowed to continue to exist only if they are used appropriately.

There’s something your cat doesn’t want you to know. It has nothing to do with that hairball behind the sofa or that secret hole chewed in the backside of the dog food bag. It’s something deeper and infinitely more painful. Your cat is embarrassed by the way it runs.

My leg had been broken for about a week when I got a hotline call. Another adventure, but I did not think I wanted it. After all I was an invalid now and I was feeling rather sorry for myself. I would take a pain pill and sleep for awhile or watch a little TV. Other rehabbers in the UWR family had already taken my other birds. I just needed to stay calm and heal.

It was a dark and stormy night! But when the hot line operator called with what turned out to be an adventure, I could hardly wait. I packed up my stuff, called the people with the bird and arranged to meet them in Myrtle Creek.
We were to meet at a little store with good lighting. The gentleman, John, gave me a small box with the bird in it to me. He had thought that it was a screech owl, based on information he found on the internet. I looked and knew right away it was a pygmy owl.

Dogs are an incredible source of joy, comfort & love in our lives. However, we also have to recognize the reality that dog bites are a fairly common occurrence, MOST OF WHICH COULD BE AVOIDED if we read the dog’s pre-bite actions correctly. Almost all dogs give us a warning before they bite, be it a growl, stressful barking, a threatening posture, etc. Below are some interesting statistics about dog bites & what you can do to lessen the likelihood of a bite.
