    12:23 a.m. Hwy 42. Caller stopped along Highway 101, set purse on top of car and drove off, returned
    to find purse ran over several times and medication destroyed. Caller request police report to obtain
    new medications.
    12:43 a.m. Center Rd. Traffic stop. Observed vehicle in the roadway. Re: Owner contacted and advised
    to move vehicle out of roadway.
    2:37 a.m. Hwy 42S & Bates Rd. Suspicious subject. Out with two on a bicycle.
    9:25 a.m. Myrtle Point area. Suicidal subject. Assisting Myrtle Point Police Department with suicidal
    subject.
    11:32 a.m. Lampa Ln. Theft. Caller reports that mail person delivered 2 packages and one is missing.
    Leapster games inside.
    1:35 p.m. Pansy Rd. Criminal mischief. Report of tires slashed. Re: Investigation continuing.
    2:13 p.m. Rainbow Ln. ID Theft. Subject used Social Security Number to get hunting license and
    employment.
    4:51 p.m. Sitkum Ln. Assist public works. Female reports that a tree fell across the road.
    5:23 p.m. 10th St. Female on a cell phone reports that neighbors are fighting.
    8:09 p.m. Holly Ln. Report of power outage.

    11:02 p.m. Hwy 42. Female on cell phone reports that a transformer blew.
    NOVEMBER 17, 2009
    5:07 a.m. Lampa Lane. Tree down. Caller reports a myrtle tree down in power lines approximately .5
    miles past Arago turnoff.
    8:10 a.m. Hwy 101. Suspicious subject. Caller reports that a suspicious male stands near a gate to the
    school every morning and yells at traffic to slow down. Subject took photo of reporter today. Subject
    was last seen wearing a baseball cap and has long hair. Re: Checked, unable to locate.
    9:24 a.m. Sitkum Ln. Abandoned vehicle. Report of a camper abandoned along river, reporter is afraid
    that it will get washed into stream.
    10:44 a.m. Dement Creek Rd. Harassment. Caller reports that landlord made verbal threats last night
    and again about 30 minutes ago. Subject is intoxicated and driving a silver Jaguar. Re: Attempt to
    locate to all units for the suspects vehicle for a possible Driving Under Influence Intoxicants.
    11:03 a.m. Cape Arago Hwy. Harassment. Caller reports that subject is stalking and harassing employee
    and made threats to reporter. Re: Subject was warned by phone and trespassed from property.
    1:35 p.m. Coos Bay area. Information. Reporter is looking north, slightly east from Coos Bay Library,
    and can see jets in the air. It appeared that one fired something or that something exploded. Re:
    Contacted North Bend Airport, advised that several Military F15’s are training.
    6:11 p.m. Powers Hwy. Harassment. Caller reports that subjects are en route from Port Orford threatening
    to take coon off reporter’s property that he has a permit to have. Re: Reporter advised to recall
    if subjects do show up.
    6:39 p.m. Hwy 42/Finley Loop Rd. Disabled vehicle. Advised of disabled vehicle partially in roadway.
    Re: Vehicle repaired and removed.
    6:41 p.m. Geiger Creek Rd. Welfare check. Report of possible ongoing Domestic Violence at location
    between female and former boyfriend. Re: Unable to locate female at this time.
    11:10 p.m. Wildwood Rd. Family dispute. Report of a verbal disturbance, male agreed to go outside.
    Re: Parties separated, no crime.

    9:33 a.m. Pioneer Rd. Criminal mischief. Caller reports that fence is cut in four places, problem with
    neighbor. Re: Parties contacted, will contact suspect via phone.
    9:45 a.m. 2nd & Collier St. Assist public. Coos County Jail reports that there is a vehicle in parking
    lot with its lights on. Re: Registered owner is on jury duty, left message with court clerk.
    11:08 a.m. Collier & 3rd Street. Found dog. Report of two dogs running at large.
    1:29 p.m. Edward Rd. Suspicious subject. Caller reports observing a male entering the back window
    of neighbor’s residence. Subject described as a black male adult, unknown clothing description.
    Neighbor is not at home. Re: Residence cleared, left business card.
    3:47 p.m. Hwy 42. Accident. Multiple reports of vehicle off roadway, unknown if injured.
    6:16 p.m. Hwy Deli Mart. Accident. Report that a vehicle hit a patrol vehicle. Re: Coquille Police
    Department to take report.
    6:22 p.m. Coos County. Phone harassment. Friend received text messages from roommates that are
    possibly threatening her.
    7:28 p.m. Hwy 101. Attempt to locate drunk driver. Re: Vehicle stopped on W. Central and Highway
    42. Negative DUII.
    9:18 p.m. Old Broadbent Rd. Welfare check. Subject dialed 911, wanted to talk about something
    (appears intoxicated). Phone cut off.
    9:41 p.m. Arago Fishtrap Rd. Harassment. Subject is calling and yelling and threatening reporter.
    Reporter has custody of suspects children. Suspect found out where they were today and is not happy.
    NOVEMBER 19, 2009
    10:55 a.m. McTimmons/Woods. Suspicious conditions. Suspicious vehicle at the end of the road.
    Vehicle is a Ford Ranger pickup with extended cab. Caller reports that dogs are carrying bones out of
    the brush.
    3:59 p.m. Fourmile Rd. Theft of wheels and tires from barn. Report taken for Burglary II and Theft I.
    4:08 p.m. Robertson Ln. Vicious dog. Caller reports that neighbors dog is out again, is being aggressive
    and chasing kids. Re: Dog taken to shelter, card left on door for owner.
    6:18 p.m. 5th & Ash. Assist outside agency. Suspect trying to stuff a juvenile in a newspaper stand.
    Juvenile got away and was last seen running down Ash Street toward the Skate Park with the suspect
    chasing behind him.
    6:45 p.m. Hwy 101 & Wildwood Hwy. Non-injury accident. Caller reports that a subject in an 18-
    wheeler hit her vehicle. Reporter got him to pull over, he was rude and refusing to exchange information.
    Re: Reporter walked up to truck while on the phone with dispatch, subject gave dispatch his information.
    7:09 p.m. Old Broadbent Rd. Violation of Restraining Order. Caller reports that father is driving past
    their house, her mother has a Restraining Order against him.
    7:39 p.m. Hollywood Ln. Fight. Male and female are fighting, she stated that she was assaulted. Re:
    Matthew Kincaid arrested for Assault IV-Domestic. Transported to the Coos County Jail.
    9:11 p.m. Hwy 42S. Suspicious conditions. Caller believes that someone has been coming into her
    house. Tonight the door casings have been messed with. Re: Reporter contacted at residence.
    10:15 p.m. Old Railroad Grade Rd. Suspicious conditions. Caller saw subject in back of their property,
    and now their phone lines are cut. Re: Reporter contacted by phone, unable to hear on reporter’s
    cell phone, will re contact reporter to review situation for preventative measures.
    10:20 p.m. Hwy 101. Suspicious conditions. A very intoxicated male called regarding a fight with his
    ex-wife. Wife lives in a single-wide trailer by the “Berry Farm,” then started cursing and said that we
    wouldn’t do anything. Re: Deputy returned call to the cell phone number and left voice mail message,
    subject called back and said that he isn’t getting visitation with his child.
    11:08 p.m. Main Ln. Family dispute. Reporter’s son assaulted her. Jesse Wagoner arrested for Assault
    IV-Domestic. Transported to the Coos County Jail.

    4:37 p.m. 2nd & Central. Accident. Report of a bicyclist hit by a car at location.
    5:01 p.m. Sawdust Theatre. Suspicious conditions. Caller reports that a small child is screaming “I
    want my mommy” and then the child was loaded into a small white car parked at a different location.
    8:34 p.m. N. Adams. Follow up. Out at location.
    9:50 p.m. Hwy 42 & Rink Creek Rd. Assist outside agency. Out at location with Oregon State Police.
    10:23 p.m. N. Dean St. Foot patrol.

    11:15 a.m. E. 12th St. Truancy. Returning juvenile to school.
    2:29 p.m. S. Henry. Follow up on a dog complaint.
    4:38 p.m. N. Gould St. Welfare check. Caller reports that he is worried sick about his kids. Mother has
    taken them from him and he doesn’t know where they are at.
    7:41 p.m. N. Birch St. Criminal mischief. Not as reported - Civil Compromise.
    11:45 p.m. Hwy 42. Unknown problem. Coos County sheriff’s Office relayed information that attendant
    at location request to speak with an officer.

    2:00 a.m. Adams & 3rd. Casual contact.
    8:58 a.m. 3rd & Central. Dog at large. Out with a dog running in traffic.
    9:08 a.m. N. Alder. Follow up. Attempting to locate owner of dog at large.
    11:46 a.m. N. Dean St. Disabled vehicle. Caller reports that her vehicle is disabled and blocking the
    roadway.
    1:30 p.m. Four Seasons. Dispute at location.
    3:54 p.m. N. Elliott. En route to a report of a possible illegal burn.
    9:11 p.m. S. 1st Ave. Unknown problem. Caller reports that a female just came to her door asking for
    help, unsure what is going on. Female is crying and upset.
    11:59 p.m. N. Central Ave. Assisting Coquille Ambulance with an intoxicated subject.

    2:47 a.m. N. Alder St. Suspicious conditions. Caller reports that alarm on car went off. Suggests that
    subjects hanging out around the corner may possibly be involved.
    9:08 a.m. N. Johnson. Caller reports suspicious circumstances.
    9:57 a.m. N. Elm St. Report of a possible Violation of Restraining Order.
    2:29 p.m. N. Baxter St. Burn information. Caller reports that neighbor has a burn going that is putting
    off a lot of smoke.
    4:35 p.m. 10th St. & Collier. Report of an unattended child.
    6:44 p.m. Coquille area. Suspicious vehicle. Caller reports that her daughter is somewhere in the
    Coquille area being followed by a car.

    Charlize Ellen “Charli” Arriola

    Charlize Ellen “Charli” Arriola, 2 months old, died November
    21, 2009 in Myrtle Point. Arrangements are under the direction
    of Myrtle Grove Funeral Service, 396-3158.¤

    Dr. Thomas E. Kelly May 10, 1925 – November 22, 2009

    A memorial Mass will be celebrated for Dr. Thomas Edward Kelly, 84, of Coquille, at 9 a.m., Tuesday December 8th at the Baycrest Village chapel (formerly St. Catherine’s) 3959 Sheridan Ave., North Bend. Father Karl Schray will officiate. Burial has been held at Sunset Memorial Park in Coos Bay. Tom was born May 10, 1925 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Edward Ernest and Mary S. (McGovern) Kelly.

     He died November 22, 2009 in Coos Bay. He served honorably in World War II, receiving the Purple Heart. He married Ruth Otley July 19, 1958 and maintained a chiropractic office in Coquille until his retirement. Ruth died in October 1998. He especially enjoyed time at the coast with Ruth, and they hosted many convivial gatherings in their home. Tom was an avid gardener, and his perfectly landscaped Coquille home attested to that. He enjoyed hunting pheasants in his younger years and was an accomplished wood carver.

     He was a parishioner of Holy Name Catholic Church in Coquille and an active member of the Coquille Lions Club and the Coquille Valley Elks Lodge # 1935. He was also involved with the scouting program in his earlier years. He is survived by his brother Edward (Gene) Kelly and family of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota and long-time family friend Kent Brandon of Prineville.     Walter R. Esterlein June 16, 1927 – November 22, 2009

    At his request, there will be no public services for Walter R. Esterlein, 82 of Coquille. Walter was born June 16, 1927 in Chicago, IL to Walter C. and Cora Mae (Seiner) Esterlein. He died November 22, 2009 in Coquille. Walter served his country during WWII in the Air Force. After his discharge he worked in Civil Service for over 20 years as an electronic technician at various government installations. Walter married Sandra Bruins on August 6, 1966 in Boulder, CO. He retired from Point Mugu Naval Air Station in 1992 and moved to Coquille. He was an avid reader, mentor, handyman, creative writer and ham-radio operator. Walter is survived by his wife Sandra; children, Connie Rai Carter, Lon Russell Esterlein, Tim Michael Esterlein, Lori Lyn Greenstone, Valerie Norris, and Debbie Davis; brother, Robert C. Esterlein; grandson, Justin Norris among 12 others; and numerous great grandchildren. Arrangements are under the direction of Amling/Schroeder Funeral Service – Coquille Chapel, 396-3846.

    Judy L. McFarland November 7, 1952 – November 20, 2009

    Private family services will be held for Judy L. McFarland, 57, of Coquille. Cremation rites have been held at Myrtle Crest Crematory in Coquille and inurnment will be at Roseburg National Cemetery. Judy was born November 7, 1952, in Albany, California, to Cecil and Frances Hughes. She died November 20, 2009 at her home in Coquille. Judy moved to Coquille from Tennessee. She had only lived here for two months.

     Judy is survived by her husband, Larry McFarland of Coquille; son and his wife, Chris and Kathy McFarland of Tennessee, their children, Larry, Lisa and Cheyenne and their grandchild, Trevor; son and his wife, Joseph and Jennifer McFarland of California, their children, Philip and Jolena; sister, Diana Givens of California; and brother, Douglas Hughes of Nevada. She was preceded in death by her parents. The family suggests memorial contributions to The American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Myrtle Grove Funeral Service, 396- 3158.¤
