On October 16th, Coquille resident Gwendolyn Sherbondy pled guilty to the charge of Aggravated Theft in the First Degree. She appeared in front of Judge Michael Gillespie. Sentencing has been set for November 9th at 8:30 a.m. In pleading guilty this morning, Ms. Sherbondy admitted that she had stolen in excess of $10,000
from the Project Graduation Fund for the Class of 2009 at Coquille High School. Ms. Sherbondy still has a pending charge in the United States District Court for the District of Oregon. It is my understanding that her next appearance on that matter is scheduled for October 20, 2009 at 10 a.m.
