Sunday, June 14th was celebrated at the Coquille
Valley Elks Lodge with an observance honoring our
national emblem, the United States Flag. This is an
annual event that Elks lodges nationwide
observe.
In addition to the Elks members, Boy Scout Troop
99 were there to present the flags as the history of
the flag was read.
Chaplain Pete Pedersen read an article he had
written on what the flag means to him. Also,
Coquille Emblem Club #266 folded the flag with an
oratory of the meaning of each fold.
We thank the Boy Scouts and the emblem Club
for their participation.
