Joan Marie Reeves
January 6, 1932- June 1, 2009
Joan Marie Reeves passed  away June 1, 2009 at age 77 in  Portland, Oregon of Natural  Causes.  Joan was born January 6, 1932  in Colorado Springs, Colorado to  William & Opal Linville. Joan  moved to Independence, Oregon  with her family when she was  14.

Her mother said at the time  of seeing the ocean for the first  time, “That’s one hell of a lot of  water.”  In Independence is where she  met her eventual husband Earl  Franklin Reeves. They were married  November 8, 1954. She and  Earl then relocated to Coos Bay,  Oregon. Joan spent many years  raising her own family with her  husband Earl Franklin Reeves.  They moved to Coquille in 1976  where they were until 1987.  Their final destination led to  Beaverton, Oregon.

Joan retired from GTE after  working for over 30 years as a  Telephone Operator. She was an  avid Doll Collector, enjoyed listening  to a Johnny Cash album,  and most importantly, she loved  spending time with her  Granddaughter.  Joan is preceded in death by  her husband Earl Reeves and sister  Mary Culbertson. Survivors  include her sons, David Reeves  and Mike Reeves; granddaughter,  Taylor Reeves; sisters, Beth  Garrison, Linda Linville; brothers,  John Linville, Doug Linville,  and William Linville.  A Memorial Reception will be  held to celebrate Joan’s life at  2:00 p.m. inside Starky’s  Restaurant and Bar- 2913 SE  Stark St Portland, Oregon.

A Private Burial will take  place Friday, June 12, 2009  inside Hilltop Cemetery in  Independence, Oregon.  Arrangements entrusted to  Peake Funeral Chapel in  Milwaukie, Oregon 503-654-  7755. Please contact the funeral  home if you would like to contribute  to Joan’s memorial fund.

Bonnie Louise Adams
July 26, 1927 - June 6, 2009
A memorial service will be held for Bonnie Louise Adams, 81, of Coquille at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June  20, 2009 at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, 282 W. 6th St., in Coquille. Bonnie died June 6, 2009 in  Springfield. Arrangements are under the direction of Myrtle Grove Funeral Service, 396-3158.
