The tour will take place from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. beginning  at the gravel parking lot at milepost 251 between  Bandon and Coos Bay on Highway 101. We will carpool to  the sites which are on well-maintained gravel roads.  We will examine the results of several stand improvement
techniques including thinning and pruning. Participants will  learn how these procedures might be applied to their own  forest properties to increase timber productivity and value.  More information about the forestry field tour is available  by calling OSU Extension in Coos County at 541-572-5263.
