Friends of the Coquille Library held their annual Spring  Book Sale on Saturday May 9th to raise funds in support of  our local public library. President Sara Dorland said the  group has been together since 2004, and have well over 200  members who have raised over $40,000. In addition to book  sales they also sponsor an annual wine tour and trivia night.  It was the Friends of the Coquille Library that raised the  matching funds for the Bill and Linda Gates Grant that  recently rewarded the library with 7 brand new computers.  They also support the library’s DVD and children's programs.  Their ultimate goal is to raise the money needed for  a new Library building.
